Trying to lose weight?
What is in your shopping cart?
Are you purchasing and bringing home food
items that are supporting your ideal weight and healthy
lifestyle?
On a recent trip to the grocery store, you
could find things in my shopping cart such as whole grain
bread, soy milk, Kashi cereal, bottled water, tuna packed in
water, bananas, low fat yogurt, and whole grain chips. I
have not always been like this – there was a time when I
thought I could bring home a box of captain crunch and make
it last two weeks!
Here is a healthy eating
law that I have proven time and time again: If you put it in
your cart and bring it home – you will definitely eat it!
Now more than ever we have healthier choices to put in our
carts. Take the time to educate yourself on the kinds of
foods that will support your weight loss efforts.
If you have no clue as to where to start and
you think that fat-free cakes are good for you – here are
some basics.
·
Avoid foods with no nutritional
value such as the fat free cakes listed above. Just because
it is fat free does not mean it is good for you.
·
Same as above goes for “low
fat”.
·
Avoid beverages – drink water
instead
·
Choose whole grain
·
Choose raw fruits and
vegetables
·
If you are pressed for time
then look for meals by weight watchers, lean cuisine, Jenny
Craig, or South beach diet.
·
The closer to nature the better
These are just a few
quick tips to get you off on the right foot. If you have no
clue what to eat to improve your health and lose weight then
consider joining an online diet program such as Nutrisystem
or ordering an ebook such as Burn the fat. You will gain an
education that will help you lose weight and eat healthy for
the rest of your life. Also spend time reading our other
diet and weight loss articles here at

I wish for you the best
of health!
