 Portion Control

One more reason to like Nutrisystem

Any reader of this site will know that I like Nutrisystem and feel that it can help people achieve their ideal weight and increase their health and vitality. With Nutrisystem you get wholesome meals delivered directly to your door. You can diet without thinking about dieting.

But do I think it is realistic for someone to eat nothing but Nutrisystem meals for the rest of their life? Of course not! Even though Nutrisystem has a variety of foods and meals – you can rest assured most people will eventually grow tired of eating those foods.

Nutrisystem can help you reach your initial weight loss goals but I feel it has another benefit that most people will often overlook. Portion control.

Portion control has gotten out of hand for most of us. We are influenced to super size everything and are bombarded with advertisements telling us that we are only satisfied and happy when we are full. The reality of it is that most people are miserable when they are full. They can't breath, can't move well, and usually have stomach distress. Does not sound like joy to me.

Using the Nutrisystem meals for a period of time can help you lose weight as well as help your stomach retrain to be satisfied with smaller portions. I believe that portion control is something that we have to learn. The brain needs time to tell us that we are full and we will never learn this as long as there is a super sized portion in front of us – unless we have incredible self-discipline.

Some people are so accustomed to overeating that they think the overfull feeling is the way you are supposed to feel after a meal. By allowing yourself to eat proper portions consistently; you will begin to see what if feels like to be satisfied instead of full. Eating a well portioned meal does not leave you with the big energy slump that super sized meals will. Eating a well portioned meal will not leave you with a stomach ache or abdominal distress and will ultimately lead to weight loss.

There are a number of reasons why I like Nutrisystem and recommend it to our readers. Among those are the fact that you get nutritious meals without having to count calories, fat, or carbs., and they are convenient and portable. Add to that the fact you are going to learn portion control – and Nutrisystem comes out on top.

You can be satisfied and not be overstuffed.

I wish for you the best of health!
