A review of the book “Dr. Gott’s No Flour, No Sugar Diet.

Subtitled “The simplest way to lose weight” By Peter H. Gott, MD.

Kudos to Dr. Gott for creating a diet that is simple, healthy, and inexpensive. Dr. Gott details in this book a way for you to lose weight slow and sure with incremental changes. The fact that you are making slow incremental changes will help you to stick with this diet long term.

The basis of this book is: No flour, no sugar = fewer calories. And of course fewer calories lead to weight loss. The key here is that Dr. Gott will teach you how to choose nutrient dense foods that will fuel your body in an optimal way. No more going around hungry while craving foods – only to reach the point of no return when you blow your diet and start the cycle over again.

You will learn that sugar and refined flour are “empty calories” that can be found almost anywhere. This book will teach you how to avoid the empty calories and replace them with nutrient dense, energy packed calories. The result will be that you will eat less, be more satisfied, and lose weight.
