If you read fitness
magazines or watch infomercials then you may begin to
believe that fat loss without supplements is impossible.
Fat loss
without supplements is possible and thousands
of people are achieving fat loss without spending their hard
earned money on supplements.
Don’t get me wrong – I
am a firm believer in supplementation to assist you in your
diet and weight loss efforts. Keep in mind that to lose
weight you must eat healthy and exercise. Supplements are a
way to assist you to your goals. They are not a magic bullet
as some advertisers would have you believe. Having said that
– let’s try to help you lose fat without using nutritional
supplements.
Here are some tips to
help you lose fat without supplements.
Eat 5 or 6 smaller
meals throughout the day rather than 1 or 2 big meals.
This will help speed your metabolism and keep you from
getting overly hungry and therefore overeating. Choose your
small meals wisely. Pick nutritious, natural foods and try
to get a protein with each feeding. An example of a small
meal would be a yogurt and a banana. Eat fresh plain
vegetables as much as you would like. Learn about your
nutritional needs and strive to meet them with your 5 or 6
meals per day.
Your fluid intake
should consist of water. If you need caffeine then try
to get it in the form of black coffee or some other
unsweetened form – otherwise drink only water and plenty of
it. Water helps flush your system and helps keep you from
overeating. Water also contains no calories and gives you a
feeling of fullness.
Exercise every day.
Do something even if it is walking around the block a couple
of times. Exercise burns calories. You lose fat by burning
more calories than you consume - so get moving!
Avoid refined
carbohydrates, sweets, and sugars. Try to keep your diet
close to nature. Choose whole grains, natural and raw
whenever possible.
Reward yourself once
per week. Eat anything you desire on this day. (within
reason) This will help keep you motivated on your diet as
you start to develop healthy eating habits.
Fat loss without
supplements is possible. Learn more about healthy eating
and exercise; your habits and lifestyle will gradually
change and then you will be the lean person you desire to
be.
