What is the caution side of
Nutrisystem?
It seems a popular question about Nutrisystem
is what are the cautions? The following represents my
opinion only and I hope that it helps you make up your mind
whether to try Nutrisystem or not.
I have said all along that Nutrisystem is not
a permanent eating solution. Nutrisystem can help you reach
your ideal weight by providing precise calories, proper
nutrition, the perfect Glycemic index, and the proper
portion sizes for you. I would caution anyone from becoming
reliant on the Nutrisystem foods at the expense of not
learning proper eating habits. You will be a much healthier
person long-term if you take advantage of the Nutrisystem
counselors and learn how to choose regular foods that will
support your new body.
Does this mean that I think the Nutrisystem
foods are not healthy? Absolutely not! I just think you will
be a much healthier person long-term once you learn portion
control, food selection, and basic nutritional principles.
In the long run freshly prepared meals and snacks will
lead you to a healthier life at your ideal weight.
Nutrisystem provides
services that can liberate you from the need of having your
meals pre-measured and pre-cooked all the time. Why not take
advantage of that?
Another caution would be
that you eat the Nutrisystem foods in addition
to other foods that you normally eat. If you do this
at least run it by your Nutrisystem counselor so that they
can adjust accordingly. Nutrisystem encourages you to eat
vegetables what I am talking about is eating your
Nutrisystem meal and then going for a hamburger. Learning
portion control will take time. You can do it.
So I would say that the
caution side of Nutrisystem is to use the foods to reach
your ideal weight but to ignore the services such as support
and counseling - and also be cautious not to eat your
Nutrisystem meals in addition to unhealthy foods you
normally eat.
