A review of the book “The Sonoma
Diet – Trimmer waist, better health in just 10 days!” by Dr. Connie
Guttersen, R.D.,Ph.D.
The
Sonoma diet is based upon the healthy eating habits of the
Mediterranean countries but is inspired by Sonoma County’s delicious
cooking and love of fresh, wholesome, great tasting foods.
The author makes it clear that the
Mediterranean diet is more of a healthy way of eating rather than a
weight loss plan. The Sonoma diet on the other hand is a delicious way
to get healthy and lose weight.
I love any diet that focuses on
health and the Sonoma diet surely does. The author will introduce you
to the top ten Sonoma Diet power foods and explain to you why these
nutritionally packed powerhouses are not only good for losing weight
but also great for your health.
The Sonoma Diet is a 3 part diet:
Wave 1, 2, and 3 - these waves will guide you to a permanent, healthy
lifestyle that will leave you feeling better and looking better. The
Sonoma diet is balanced, simple, healthy, and satisfying. You will
enjoy the mouth watering, simple recipes that come with this book as
well.
I absolutely loved the plate and
bowl concept that you will learn in this book! This concept alone is
worth the purchase price of this book. You can enjoy fresh fruits and
vegetables, whole grain breads and cereals, skinless white meat
poultry, lean red meats, lamb, pork, veal, eggs, fish, olive oil,
nuts, wine, spices AND still lose weight!
This book is well written and
realistic. The author realizes that most people do not have hours to
spend constructing elaborate meals. The recipes and concepts are
simple. You will learn healthy habits that will stick with you for
life and this book will help teach you that losing weight can be
enjoyable.
I highly recommend the Sonoma diet
book and the Sonoma diet itself. Please share your experiences with us
that you have had with the Sonoma Diet.
Wishing you the best of
health,
Bill
