The Feel Good Diet
A review of the book “The Feel Good
Diet” by Cheryle Hart, M.D., and Mary Kay Grossman, RD.
Part 1 of this book is a fascinating look
into brain hormones and what happens to them when you follow
a typical diet. Part 2 tells you how to eat and lose weight
without affecting your brain hormones. In other words – Lose
weight and feel good.
If you have ever wondered about things such
as why you crave carbohydrates, why you get depressed when
dieting, why you can’t stick to a diet, why you have low sex
drive while on a diet, why you get irritable, or even
anxious when dieting – then you are going to find part one
of this book very interesting.
Don’t let words like Serotonin,
catecholamine, dopamine, or progesterone intimidate you –
part one of this book does a fantastic job of describing all
of the science behind the jargon in a way that can be
understood by most anyone. The fact that you will probably
see many of your symptoms listed and explained in a way that
relates to these words is more than enough to keep you
interested and reading further. I learned so much about the
importance of neurotransmitters and how our typical weight
loss diets can affect them.
Part two of this book
goes on to show you how you can feel good while you lose
weight. You will learn new ways of eating, supplementing to
boost your neurotransmitters, increasing your metabolism,
and balancing your body pH. I have been fascinated by the
Super pH water recipe and have been taking it daily since
reading this book. I will keep you posted on the results of
taking this super pH water.
You will also get great
recipes, food lists, and a well written section on how to
use exercise to boost your metabolism.
I thoroughly enjoyed
this book. I learned much from this book as I am sure you
will too.
I wish for you the best
of health!
