Obesity in teens
Teenage obesity has been said to have almost
tripled over the past 20 years.
Obesity in teens is a serious problem that
will more than likely be carried over to adulthood. Teens
are influenced by advertising and friends and unfortunately
do not do all of their eating at home.
Here are some small steps for parents and

food choices. |
 | Limit TV, computer, and video game
time. |
 | Have a physical activity time with the
family. |
 | Encourage active video games such as
DDR. |
 | Be aware of where and what is being
eaten. |
 | Find a form of movement that is
enjoyable. Hiking, biking, walking, exercise videos,
active video games, etc. |
 | Fill your home with healthy foods. |
 | Talk with your doctor about possible
solutions. |
