surprises me how many people embark on a low carbohydrate
diet assuming this change in eating habits is going to be
easy.
There is no doubt that
low-carb diets work for some people. The success of Atkins
and all of the other low carbohydrate diet programs and
products can attest to this. Some people find it easy to
drop the carbohydrates from their diet and they achieve the
weight loss success they are searching for.
How do you know if a low
carbohydrate diet is right for you? Will you have what it
takes to stick with your low carb diet? Asking yourself some
questions and gathering some important information will help
you decide if a low carb diet is right for you.
Make a list of the
"allowed" foods your diet calls for. Can you see yourself
being satisfied eating these foods?
What kind of preparation
time is needed to prepare your foods? Do you realistically
have the time needed and will you take the time?
Is the diet something
your doctor approves of? Check with your doctor before
starting any diet.
Answering yes to these
simple questions seems trivial but an honest "yes" to these
questions will indicate that a low carbohydrate diet is
right for you. When a diet is right for you – you will be
more likely to follow the recommendations and achieve the
weight loss success you are after.
